VersaCAMM VP-i and AdvancedJET AJ-i Product From Roland DGA Corp.

Roland DGA Corporation has announced new "i" versions of the company's VersaCAMM VP series inkjet printer/cutters and AdvancedJET AJ series grand-format inkjet printers.

The new AdvancedJET AJ-i and VersaCAMM VP-i inkjets feature Roland Intelligent Pass Control, the company's patent-pending technology that virtually eliminates banding by optimizing masking patterns and dot placement at the edge of each pass.

With Roland Intelligent Pass Control, consecutive passes are overlapped and feathered so they literally become one continuous image. As a result, finished prints reflect unmatched image quality overall with smoother gradations and dense, flawless solid colors in every print mode.

Roland Intelligent Pass Control increases productivity by allowing users to achieve the same image quality at higher print speeds. VersaCAMM VP-i inkjets print up to 80 percent faster on banner and 50 percent faster on vinyl in Standard print mode than the previous models while AdvancedJET AJ-i inkjets can print up to 25 percent faster on banner in Standard print mode. AdvancedJET AJ-i printers are further enhanced with the addition of new print head protection plates and new EcoXtreme i ink.

The new VersaCAMM VP-i Series includes the 30-inch VP-300i and the 54-inch VP-540i. VP-i printer/cutters are designed from the ground up to enhance the productivity of creative professionals everywhere?from marketing departments and retailers to sign shops and screen printers. VersaCAMM VP-i inkjets make it easier and faster than ever to produce durable, professional-quality posters, banners, POP displays, labels, decals, vehicle and floor graphics, heat transfers for apparel and more. Award-winning ECO-SOL MAX ink delivers dense, rich colors, fast dry time, wide gamut and exceptional durability of up to three years outdoors. VersaWorks RIP software is included. VersaCAMM VP-i printer/cutters are priced at $15,795 for the VP-300i and $21,995 for the VP-540i.

Designed for high-volume printing and rush jobs including billboards, banners, fleet and vehicle graphics, the AdvancedJET AJ-i Series includes the 74-inch AJ-740i and the 104-inch AJ-1000i. AJ-i printers deliver six-color CMYK+LcLm graphics at a maximum print speed of 968 sqft/hr for the 104-inch AJ-1000i. Unlike other industrial printers, the AdvancedJET AJ-i Series runs with minimal operator maintenance and fine tuning. The AdvancedJET AJ-i also includes powerful Roland VersaWorks RIP software.

To support AJ-i printers, Roland has introduced new EcoXtreme i ink, offering outstanding color density, wide gamut and three-year outdoor durability while dramatically reducing odor. AJ-i printers also support Roland's EcoXtreme LT ink, a cost-effective alternative for short-term applications. AdvancedJET AJ-i printers are priced at $47,295 for the AJ-740i and $62,995 for the AJ-1000i.
