Image Access will present its large-format scanners at the DMS Expo in Cologne (Hall 7, Booth E 58) September 15-17, 2009. The WideTEK family of scanners can process architectural and construction drawings, maps, newspapers and posters quickly and efficiently?no matter whether the document is extremely large, transparent or fragile and it can deliver output in optimized, accurate color.
WT36-USBAll scanners are based on Image Access' Scan2Net technology, which allows?along with high speed?superior quality, simple operation and uncompromising scanning speeds with the highest network compatibility. All devices operate independent from client's operating system. The high productivity is another advantage of the devices: WideTEK scanners produce color scans in continuous speed of up to twelve square meters per minute. Independent from the performance of the external PC, WideTEK scanners allow continuous scanning at maximum speed without interruptions. Due to the large internal storage capacity, scans of very long large format documents with maximum color depth (36 bit) and high resolution can be processed with a high throughput.
The user operates the scanner with the web browser via the standard protocol TCP/IP or, alternatively, via the built-in touch screen. Since the scanner does not require a client PC, it can be used as a stand-alone device as well. The operator only needs to attach an external monitor directly to the scanner and all scanner functions are available, including control or modification of scanned images without having to rescan them. Finally, the scanned data can be saved in the network, sent via email, saved on a USB stick or printed.
WideTEK scanners are the only large-format scanners utilizing an online tool for creating an individual ICC profile. With the software Scan2ICC, the colors of the scanned image are optimized to match the original document.
The operator will have a high return on investment due to practically no consumables. The LED lamps are designed for the lifetime of the scanner?over one million scans. The scanners are very robust and low-maintenance, provide for highly productive throughput and save labor time.
