Dreamscape has introduced Dreamscape Terralon, a PVC-free printable wallcovering for regular solvent, eco-solvent, and UV curable inks.
Terralon is a PVC-free product made with a polyester/natural fiber technology containing more than 30 percent recycled materials. Terralon combines Type II durability and a Class "A" fire rating in a new highly breathable, recyclable wallcovering. The highly breathable surface (66 perms) increases resistance to mold and mildew in high humidity environments. As a recyclable product, Terralon can be returned to Roysons for recycling back into wallcovering and other industrial products.
Terralon adds to better air quality with low VOC emission complying with California 1350 standards for air quality. The long list of environmentally friendly features of this new product contributes to several LEEDs credits and gives architects, planners and designers a green alternative for custom décor wall murals, graphics and wallcoverings.
Terralon looks and installs like regular commercial grade wallcovering. With a lightly embossed textured surface and standard woven backing, Terralon yields excellent imaging quality and is installed with standard wallcovering pastes, primers and techniques. Furthermore, Terralon prints with the same profile used for other Dreamscape wallcoverings saving production time and material.
Dreamscape Terralon also meets the digital printing industry's standards for textured materials that enhance image impact and color, depth, dimension and durability and meets all requirements for use with solvent, eco-solvent and UV curable ink printers
Terralon is ideal for both short run and high-volume digital production applications and is available in 75, 150 and 300 foot lengths with no production splices. The new media comes in 54-inch-wide rolls delivered on 3-inch heavy-duty cores.
