Prisco (Printers' Service) is introducing new options for the recycling of fountain solutions and solvents at Print '09, September 11 - 16, 2009, in Chicago.
Prisco has been the leader in providing affordable products and systems that have minimized the impact on the environment since the introduction of the first commercially successful alcohol-free fountain concentrates almost 50 years ago. Prisco innovations are always geared to provide the most cost effective, productive and practical answers forprint production. Our "Go Green with Prisco" initiative encompasses all of Prisco's sustainable technologies and the over 100 years of pressroom expertise.
We are proud to lead the way, again, with even more cost effective systems for fountain solution recycling with the introduction of the FloClear LS and FloClear HS systems. The patented FloClear technology, winner of the GATF Intertech Award, is the world's leading process for recycling fountain solutions at quality printing plants across the globe.Fountain solution life is extended and its clarity maintained for months of press operation. Prisco is excited to offer this world class technology at an even lower cost of entry.
The FloClear LS has the filtering capacity and performance ideal for customers with 29" six-color or a 40" two-color press with a central circulator. The small footprint of the unit allows for easy installation.FloClear HS is a compact system for sheetfed press configurations of up to a six-color 40" with a central chiller. The HS is equipped with an advanced microprocessor control panel (PLC), pump protection for high/low pressure, high- temperature shutdown and a warning beacon.
Would you like to reduce waste water in your CTP plate production by up to 90%? Then you should take a look at the PriscoTech WaterMizer. This system permits recycling and reuse of plate processor wash water that used to go down the drain. The system has added benefits of allowing a plate processor to be installed without having to move drainlines and permits the use of "process water" to wash plates, thereby improving plate quality.

Kodak SONORA XP Process Free Plates
Product From Eastman Kodak Company -
Just months after becoming commercially available, KODAK SONORA XP Process Free Plates are establishing themselves as the new class of process free plates, yielding dramatic environmental and economic benefits for customers without sacrificing quality and output. SONORA XP Plates remove the need for the plate processor, which requires chemicals, water, and energy while generating waste. Over the course of a year, a print operation that has removed its plate processor could save an estimated 4,418 kWh of power and 204,816 liters of water under typical operation conditions. As more printers transition to process free technology, these savings will have significant impact within their operations and the industry as a whole.

In some automated assembly or machine lubrication applications it is difficult to get near the point that needs the fluid or lubricant. In some applications, the fluid is extremely expensive and must be dispensed very carefully and precisely. In some cases, a mist of lubricant is not acceptable for the surroundings - either in the air or on the surrounding equipment. And in some applications, moving the dispensing system in and out to the point of lubrication is too expensive.
