Colortrac's SmartLF Ci 40e (enhanced color) technical document scanner is now available with a certified ISIS (Image and Scanner Interface Specification) driver. ISIS is a software standard for the acquisition, viewing, format conversion, printing and storage of documents in order to ensure consistent and reliable communication between hardware and software. Colortrac developed its wide-format ISIS driver in order to give EDM users with small-format scanners a route up to large format document capture. Users can scan large-format documents via the SmartLF scanner with its ISIS driver, using the EDM software they already own.

It can scan a batch of up to 20 documents at its maximum scanning speed of 15 ppm in simplex, or 30 ipm in duplex scanning. Ricoh Corporation has launched the Ricoh Aficio MP 5500/6500/7500 Series Digital Imaging Systems. These multifunction products offer copy, scan, print, and document storage capabilities as well as security features. Print speeds on these black-and-white models are 55 ppm, 65 ppm, and 75 ppm, respectively. They feature a standard 4,300-sheet paper supply and an automatic document feeder. The Refined Print Command Stream (RPCS) that allows users to program a particular job process into a single icon in the driver. These MFPs also offer finishing options such as a cover interposer, a 100-sheet staple finisher, a booklet finisher, a Z-fold unit that cuts down over-sized documents to a more convenient size, and a two- or three-hole punch unit. They are also compatible with the GBC StreamPunch III, an in-line interchangeable die set punching system. Latent images on the internal hard drive are removed through the optional DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS). The Unauthorized Copy Control feature protects sensitive documents with an embedded message that appears if a document is copied. They provide full color and black-and-white output speeds of 25 and 30 ppm, respectively, using the company's PxP Toner. These models feature an oversized, full-color LCD panel, Web Image Monitor, and SmartDeviceMonitor.
