While launching the new Tau 330 UV Inkjet Label Press at the upcoming Label Expo in Chicago, Durst also will unveil the world’s first solvent-free silver UV ink – revolutionizing, and even replacing, the use of foil in a broad range of metallic label and decorative packaging applications.

In response to the increasing need for improved sustainable print solutions, Flint Group Narrow Web is introducing a series of ink technologies for UV LED curing under the EkoCure brand.  These inks will be the first commercially available inks designed for combination print formulated specifically for UV LED curing.

Agfa’s UV-curable inks are now available for system integrators, OEMs, industries etc in a variety of different formulations, researched and developed for specific market sectors and print head integration. Each product is designed for optimum productivity without compromise, with particular emphasis on offering the best substrate compatibility and reliability according to market sector, along with cost-effective consumption and very high quality results.

FUJIFILM Corporation will be fuelling its range of inkjet equipment in the wide format zone on its stand in Hall 8b at drupa 2012 with a number of new high performance UV inkjet ink systems.

A pioneer of UV inkjet inks and brand leader with its award winning Uvijet inks for wide format printing, Fujifilm has developed a new generation of UV inks in response to the increased performance demands of today’s wide format printers. The new inks are the result of an intensive R&D programme which has been focussed on maintaining the trademark bright vivid colours and excellent image quality associated with Uvijet inks, whilst offering improved adhesion performance and excellent post-print finishing properties on a wide range of media.

This heat-curable, high performance black ink is specifically designed to enable printing onto industrial parts and components that require solvent resistant codes and/or exceptional code durability. The V438-D black heat-cure ink is most suited for auto, aerospace and durables part marking; processed food and electronic parts marking applications. Beyond providing outstanding adhesion and uptime, the ink provides customers with superior solvent resistance.

Designed to work with HP FB225 process color Scitex inks and HP Scitex FB7500 and FB7600 Industrial Presses, new HP FB225 White Scitex Ink is ideal for a wide range of applications, including backlit signage, window displays and short-run corrugated packaging. The white ink integrates seamlessly with the full set of process colors to produce durable, rich, saturated colour on clear or coloured materials. The inks also help customers reduce labour and prepress costs compared to analogue solutions, and improve efficiency with precise white-to-CMYK registration.

Nazdar® 7470 Series Digital Imaging Inks are designed for superior performance on standard POP materials. 7470 was initially designed to be used on fluted polypropylene without the need for an adhesion promoter. The other primary uses of this product are for POP displays, durable graphics and billboard banners where flexibility and adhesion is of primary importance. Typical substrates are polypropylene, styrene, Sintra, Dibond and foamboard.  7470 offers expanded color gamut to the current OEM ink set, so profiling will maximize your available colors. Unattended printing is safe and reliable with our no clog, fast curing formula. Our outdoor performance matches that of the OEM ink and, as with all Nazdar branded solutions, you will realize substantial cost savings over the OEM product.

Novus Imaging’s UV27 inks are specially formulated for high performance, trouble-free printing. The inks have superior adhesion, long-term outdoor durability and low maintenance requirements. Equally important, they use the latest technologies to provide full cure properties at very low energy levels. With less heat being applied, substrate options increase for both flexible and rigid surfaces, which also equates to lower utility costs.

 Van Son Holland is introducing its line of premium inks, available in either cartridge or bulk packaging, for wide-format inkjet printers. Van Son brings to its new inkjet line the company’s vast experience in color, drying, transfer and particle dispersion to produce brilliant and consistent color reproduction on all popular substrates. Its water-based pigment and dye-based inks are specially designed for 10,000-piezo printhead devices, such as Mimaki, Epson, Mutoh and Roland.

Roland DGA Corp. has introduced ECO-UV S, the next generation of the company's ECO-UV ink formulated to deliver exceptional elasticity and flexibility. Offered in CMYK and White, ECO-UV S is developed specifically for use with four of Roland's VersaUV UV-LED inkjet printers, including the 64-inch LEJ-640 printer, 54-inch LEC-540 printer/cutter, and both the 30-inch LEC-330 and LEC-300A printer/cutters.
