HP has announced its suite of solutions for the signage market to help print service providers (PSPs) increase productivity and capture new growth opportunities.
"HP is committed to providing our customers with technologies and solutions that help them increase application offerings and operational efficiencies," said Yariv Avisar, vice president and general manager, Scitex Large-format Solutions, HP. "With the addition of the Dual Roll Kit and strong customer momentum across the portfolio, it is clear that HP is delivering solutions that demonstrate our understanding of the market and ability to meet customer needs."
Since its launch in May 2008, the HP Latex portfolio has seen strong market acceptance with worldwide customer installations, plus more than 50 vendors and 300 media solutions tested and profiled through the HP Latex Solutions Media Program. Orders for the HP Designjet L25500 Printer have already exceeded expectations by 45 percent, and HP Designjet L65500 printers have produced more than 3 million m2 (32 million sqft) with pages growing at 52 percent quarter over quarter.
In the industrial printing market, HP continued to see strong customer demand for the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer, including a second press installation at Minneapolis-based Imagine! Print Solutions. With these two highly productive digital solutions, Imagine! is now able to capture additional business opportunities from clients that demand quick turnaround times, superior quality and regionalized signage applications.
"We were so thrilled with the unmatched quality of the output and the speed at which it is produced by our first HP Scitex FB7500 Printer that we have already installed a second device," said Bob Lothenbach, founder and president, Imagine! Print Solutions. "Together, these two powerful devices are running nearly 24 hours a day and have proven to be a very smart and strategic investment by our company."
With maximum speeds of up to 500 sqm/hr (5,380 sqft/hr) and three-quarter automated loading, HP Scitex FB7500 printers have produced more than 300,000 sheets at numerous customer sites worldwide since August 2009. This growth reflects the continued high demand for digital large-format print applications amidst an otherwise challenging time for PSPs. In fact, 67 percent of HP Scitex FB7500 Printer installations are in shops where offset or screen printing was previously the primary printing technology used.
