ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor

manroland has announced the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor with print-length indexing. The inline system for creative cold foil enhancement has now become even more efficient. Thanks to print-length indexing for foil feed, users can save significant quantities of foil material.
The patented printing process allows to print any color on the metal particles applied in the normal halftone. This opens a vast array of creative possibilities, and the process is markedly superior to other solutions in terms of printing speed.
The excellent capabilities of inline enhancement using cold foiling are recognized throughout the world. Now, thanks to de-clutched system, the process is even more economical. The foil feed stops if no foil needs to be applied. This is for example the channel, the gripper part of the impression cylinder. So foil is only used in those areas where it is actually needed, adding to the advantage gained by using narrow rolls.
Depending on the type of foil, the savings achieved amount to between five and 30 euro cents per sheet. For a production run of 10,000 sheets measuring 70 x 100, some 1,800 square meters of foil can be saved.
The new process thus not only saves money, it conserves resources. For customers who are already successfully using the InlineFoiler Prindor, there is a retrofitting program that allows them to convert to the new system.
The first de-clutched system has been installed in a six-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint at the manroland Print Technology Center.
