To meet the growing demand for floor graphics that are easy to install and remove, LexJet's new line of Simple adhesive vinyls includes Simple Indoor FloorAd and Simple CarpetAd. These two high-quality, economy-priced adhesive vinyls can be used with one of four LexJet anti-slip laminating films to produce color-consistent directional signs, decals, point-of-purchase ads, and exhibit graphics on most types of bare or carpeted floors. LexJet Simple Indoor FloorAd and CarpetAd are designed for use on large-format inkjet printers that use low-solvent, solvent, and UV-curable inks.
The bright-white surface of the vinyl provides optimal reproduction of brand colors and images, and ICC profiles are available for achieving predictable, consistent, and repeatable colors. Simple Indoor FloorAd and CarpetAd have the opacity required to keep the colors and patterns of the underlying floor surface or carpet from showing through the graphic.
LexJet Simple Indoor FloorAd (priced at $0.27/sqft) is a 3.4 mil, opaque white matte vinyl for producing temporary graphics for display on clean, indoor floor surfaces. The vinyl is backed by a high-performance, removable adhesive that bonds well to a variety of floor types, including waxed and non-waxed commercial PVC tile, sealed concrete, smooth ceramic tile, and linoleum. Graphics printed on the vinyl can be easily removed for up to six months without leaving unsightly adhesive residue.
LexJet Simple CarpetAd (priced at $0.37/sqft) is a 3.4 mil, opaque white matte vinyl for producing temporary graphics on carpeted floors. The adhesive on this vinyl is removable for up to six months on the types of short-nap/tight-weave carpets typically used in the high-traffic areas of commercial facilities.
"Floor graphics are an increasingly popular form of advertising because they are so cost-effective. They enable promotional messages to be placed on otherwise blank space in high-traffic areas without the extra expense of display systems," said Dione Metnick, product manager, LexJet. "Offering floor graphics can be a great way for printing firms and sign companies to diversify their product lines and boost profits."
Mark Jacques, director of print services for 11th Hour Business Solutions in Orlando, FL, has built a niche business around floor graphics by suggesting some of the fun and creative ways floor graphics can be used by the companies that host special events at the hotels surrounding major convention centers. His print-services team has produced and installed floor graphics to guide attendees from nearby hotels to the Orange County Convention Center, to promote event sponsors, and to add an extra element of corporate identity and visual interest to the meeting space itself.
"I chose to use LexJet Simple Indoor FloorAd and CarpetAd vinyls for the floor graphics after testing both materials thoroughly on a variety of floor and carpet surfaces," said Jacques. "I like the fact that the Simple vinyls produce consistency in brand colors whether I am producing graphics for the hotel's tiled floors or carpeted meeting rooms. The materials install easily and remove cleanly, making it easy to change out the graphics every time the hotel hosts new events."
When graphics printed on LexJet Simple Indoor FloorAd or CarpetAd are properly installed, maintained, and protected with one of LexJet's anti-slip laminating films, LexJet will provide a Floor Advertising Warranty to assure customers that the graphics are suitable and safe for floor advertising for up to 180 days after installation.
LexJet anti-slip laminating films that can be used to produce the LexJet-warranted Floor Advertising Systems include LexJet 3 Mil or 6 Mil GraphicsGuard Gloss Floor Laminates, LexJet 5 Mil GraphicsGuard Velvet Floor Laminate, and T-Flex. The GraphicsGuard Gloss films provide exceptional clarity and give graphics more visual pop. The GraphicsGuard 5 Mil Velvet and T-Flex films both have a textured surface that minimizes glare from overhead lights.
LexJet Simple Indoor FloorAd and CarpetAd are available in 20-, 150-, and 300-foot rolls, making it practical to produce just a few floor graphics at a time as needed or higher-volume jobs for major advertising campaigns.
