LexJet has announced new Simple MTS Adhesive Vinyl for Multi-Textured Surfaces. Engineered to meet the challenges of applying temporary advertising graphics and wraps to rough surfaces, Simple MTS Adhesive Vinyl is a 3.5-mil, bright white, opaque matte vinyl backed by a 2-mil high-performance aggressive adhesive.
According to LexJet product line manager Dione Metnick, the new self-adhesive vinyl is designed for a range of difficult installation scenarios involving rough textured surfaces. "This adhesive has been formulated to facilitate the posting of temporary advertising graphics and wraps on rough-textured concrete walls, construction barriers, vending machines, and other surfaces that don't form a secure bond with conventional removable adhesives," said Metnick. "However, we also find that it works well for more permanent installations, such as product identification labels and industrial safety signage."
As is the case with the other media in the LexJet's Simple product line, Simple MTS Adhesive Vinyl is compatible with low-solvent, solvent and UV-curable ink systems. It offers a bright white surface that produces superior, high contract graphics reproduction.
The opacity of the vinyl material hides existing wall markings and its durability resists most scuffing, tearing, and abrasion. On the other hand, the adhesive can be easily removed for up to a year, but will secure graphics in place for up to five years. According to Craig Tucker, owner of Avid Digital in Lake Forrest, CA, Simple MTS was the ideal solution for posting racing graphics on a concrete wall at the Long Beach Grand Prix. "The color was great, the graphics were easy to install, and they removed easily without any residue left behind," said Tucker. "The customer was very happy and commented that the graphics looked as if they were painted on the concrete."
