James Burn International has introduced the BB400 Speedbind, a high-speed in-line fully automatic binding machine that requires only one operator to run. With an output ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 documents per hour, it remains an affordable investment, allowing binding of a wide variety of applications, from ¼-inch to ¾-inch including note pads, exercise books, diaries and desktop calendars.
This latest addition to the JBI’s line of Wire-O automatic binding machines, the BB400 provides a high productivity level in a minimum footprint. Documents to be bound are positioned onto the left side of the machine by the operator, jogged by gravity and then transported to the wire feeding section. The wire element is cut to adequate length, fed and then automatically inserted into the document to be bound. Once the wire is fully inserted, the document is moved to the closing station and then stacked onto a reception conveyor
The in-line BB400 can close 3:1 and 2:1 pitch wire from ¼-inch to 1-inch. It can take all documents with flush cut and oversize covers as well as tabbed sheets. The BB400 can do skip binding. It can take traditional spools and also JBI’s Wire-O FLEX boxes.
Also on display are additional Wire-O Bind products, including the high-speed BB50 model.
