Bowe Bell & Howell (Booth 3612) is displaying its Combo14 inserting system. The Combo14 combines the functionality of multiple inserters with its rapid changeover from flats to letters – in minutes, rather than hours.
Combining the functionality of multiple inserters, the Combo 14 system handles applications for nearly any mailing operation, processing envelopes at rated speeds of up to 14,000 cycles per hour for #10 letters, 12,000 for 6” x 9” and up to 9,000 cycles per hour for flats. Its rapid changeover from flats to letters – in minutes, rather than hours – makes the Combo 14 system the foremost inserter for flexible, high-speed applications. Exclusive to the Combo 14 system, the EASE™ (Every Application Setup Easily) system dramatically reduces the number of steps required to change over from one size envelope to another. EASE incorporates a wide range of innovations, including self-locking synchronized guide adjustments and uniform hinge-line registration.
In addition to the Combo 14 inserter’s speed enhancement, new input channel modules, new enclosure feeders and enhancements to BBH’s VEKtor and JETVision vision technologies are also available. The new 4911 combined accumulator/folder has the option of adding BBH’s BIPS (BÖWE Intelligent Productivity System) to enable automated changeover of the accumulation section of the module. The new enclosure feeder design reduces the time to change inserts. JETVision and VEKtor now have 12-inch wide viewing options, enabling easy setup for integrity or quality checks virtually anywhere on a document.
In addition, the firm is promoting its BÖWE One software suite. This product provides one modular and scalable solution for ADF environments, helping multiple user types increase overall quality and efficiency; enhance message relevancy; provide real-time visibility and analysis; leverage and protect investments; and lower operating costs.
