EFI and Epson Wide-format Equipment

xpedx (Booth #3200) has its largest-ever demonstration of EFI and Epson wide-format equipment at GRAPH EXPO this year.
EFI’s VUTEk QS220, launched this year, is a direct-to-substrate, two-meter UV-curing flatbed printer with High-Definition Print (HDP) quality and super-wide productivity. The QS220 is suitable for businesses that want to fuel profitability by adding flexible, production-level equipment that will support their growth. VUTEk’s HDP technology provides resolution up to 1080 dpi. It produces four- or six-color images, and features a special seventh channel for six variations of white ink. This configuration is unique to EFI and means the QS220 is capable of printing color and white in three independent layers all in one pass for perfect registration and more advanced printing applications, which results in graphics that really pop. This in-line, three-layer white printing capability grants the ability to produce new, high-margin applications such as enhanced-definition back-lit displays or layered, art-quality graphics printed on dark substrates.
The Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 is a new generation of solvent-based printing technology is the fastest 64-inch-wide, roll-to-roll printer in its class.  Everyday use is simple, highly reliable, reducing the total cost of ownership.  Epson UltraChrome GS Ink technology introduces eight individual colors, including an all-new Orange and Green. Developed exclusively by Epson, UltraChrome GS Ink technology eliminates the need for external dryers and air purification systems.  It reduces harmful VOCs and eliminates the element nickel. The result is a high-performance, solvent-based ink technology with stunning color gamut and accuracy, with less impact on the environment. Whether you're trying to supplement your existing production process or require a single printer to produce virtually any print job, Epson says its Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 is a smart investment for any size printing company.
The Epson Stylus Pro 7900 has a maximum width of 24-inches and is capable of handling virtually any media type in roll or cut sheet. It incorporates Epson's latest achievements in photographic ink jet technology. Now utilizing ten colors - including an all-new Orange and Green - Epson UltraChrome HDR ink produces the widest color gamut ever from an Epson Stylus Pro printer. Combining Epson UltraChrome HDR ink with Epson AccuPhoto HDR screening technology dramatically raises the level of print quality. The Epson MicroPiezo TFP print head is capable of producing higher quality prints, at speeds almost twice as fast as previous generation. And, with its latest ink-repelling coating and auto nozzle verification technologies, clogged nozzles are virtually eliminated.  Developed in partnership with X-Rite, Epson has incorporated an optional, high-performance, in-line spectrophotometer. When driven by the latest front-end RIPs, Epson SpectroProofer can automate any color management process in your commercial or flexographic proofing workflow.
