Xennia’s innovative Aquamarine digital inkjet printing system offers a complete production solution to print full colour graphics, logos, barcodes and other data onto the sides of rigid box and carton packaging, providing unrivalled performance and quality with UV cure inks. Just-in-time customized digital package production allows reduced inventories and fast response to market demands – now these benefits are available to rigid box package printers.
The Xennia Aquamarine is a flexible, digital system designed for highly economical printing of rigid secondary packaging in short customized runs. The system prints onto two opposing vertical sides of rigid packaging such as EPS boxes, chill boxes, bottle crates, transit packs, plastic trays and other secondary packaging.
The system can use UV or solvent based inks, with a print swathe height of up to 120 mm and line speed of up to 40 m/min, equating to over 1,800 boxes per hour using 800 mm boxes. Automated maintenance and variable data printing capability are also available. The system includes a substrate transport conveyor, and can be used standalone or integrated into a production line.
Xennia will be demonstrating its inkjet capabilities for packaging applications at Pack Expo, in Chicago on 31st October to 3rd November 2010. Xennia will be located in the Lower Lakeside Center, booth #8511 and will be showcasing its XenJet inkjet modules and XenInx high performance inks, designed to make inkjet implementation faster and easier for packaging OEMs.
