Pitney Bowes Inc. launched pbSmart Connections, a cloud-based email marketing solution that helps businesses more effectively create and deliver their message globally in today's multi-channel world. The new offering expands the pbSmart Suite of on demand customer communications management (CCM) products delivering solutions that enable digital and physical communications in an easy-to-use format, accessible from anywhere and flexible to meet customers' needs.
pbSmart Connections delivers a simple solution to small businesses with limited technical expertise and requires no download of software, which is critical for businesses on the go. The system, available at www.pb.com/pbsmartconnections, is built to be scalable as small businesses grow, including a professional version for larger or more complex businesses. It has the ability to integrate online communication channels that have recently emerged and are rapidly gaining momentum.
"These new channels carry great potential to complement traditional customer communications and expand a business's overall CCM strategy regardless of size," said Neil Rader, VP and general manager, Small and Medium Business, Pitney Bowes. "pbSmart Connections is one of several offerings we are adding to the pbSmart Suite of products that will ultimately serve as a business's single destination for marketing and transactional communications. These will offer a full selection of traditional mail and digital options from which a business can select the most effective channel to reach current and prospective customers on demand."
pbSmart Connections allows customers to create email campaigns, newsletters, promote events and measure success. It includes a wide selection of customizable templates and tools to make creation and delivery easy. The platform enables email campaigns to be further extended through social media channels by easily being posted to Facebook, Twitter and other social sites. Its reporting feature provides detailed response data, including social media activity such as re-tweeting and number of Facebook followers, all critical in measuring ROI.
"Over time," said Rader, "we will be leveraging Pitney Bowes' unique technology to develop exciting enhancements to further solidify our leadership position in physical and digital customer communications management; helping our customers communicate with their customers in the most efficient and effective manner. This investment reflects our long-term commitment to this growing new space."
