Morgana Systems Limited (Booth 3439) is releasing a new version of its DocuFold product with the introduction of the DocuFold Pro. The recently released product can be seen in action in the USA for the first time at GRAPH EXPO 2011.
The original DocuFold was the first small format folding device to offer an automated set-up solution. Commenting on the latest enhancements, Alan Oppenheim, North American Manager for Morgana Systems, said: "DocuFold Pro provides for higher volume folding, in larger sizes, at higher speeds, with an even easier and faster set-up. We have added the new SmartScreen technology to the DocuFold Pro in order to improve operational efficiency and make the machine easier to learn and use."
Sheets sizes of up to 26.5x14.3 inches can be accommodated, with a maximum fold length of 11.8 inches. Production speed is totally variable, with a maximum throughput of 27,500 sheets of 8.5x11 inches per hour. DocuFold Pro offers an on-the-run micro adjustment for any fine tuning of the fold, and a perforating option is included as standard. Batch count and total job count are available and highly visible to the user.
In adopting Morgana's unique SmartScreen technology—a common seven-inch touchscreen solution used throughout the Pro range—the DocuFold Pro becomes even easier to set-up and operate. All job parameters can be entered and stored for future use, with common sizes and fold patterns pre-installed in system memory. New features include a Proof Fold Button which sends three sheets of the job through for a final check of the job before production.
