Ultrasheen UV-9058DG Product From ACTEGA Kelstar: ACTEGA Kelstar's (Booth 2639) formula UV9058DG is your ticket to successful coating if you are a digital printer that UV coats printed material offline and, have had issues with inter-coat adhesion between toner and UV coating. Digital printing machines use toner inks which are sometimes formulated with low viscosity oil and wax raw materials. There is difficulty applying UV coating over these types of toners due to low surface energy which causes inter-coat adhesion issues. Ultrasheen UV-9058DG is specially formulated to promote adhesion to these difficult toner based inks.

Over the past 5-8 years, during which time digital had become popular, ACTEGA Kelstar identified the issue with adhesion. Adding a heating element between the UV application and the UV lights helps to improve adhesion but does not always resolve the issue.
