Drytac has introduced SilkScape, the newest addition to its line of digital print media. Made of multi-layer white polypropylene, SilkScape is an 8 mil, 99% opaque banner material with a satin matte finish and single-sided print receptive coating. It is compatible with solvent, eco-solvent and UV printers.

Ultraflex introduces a latex printable mesh material called Strip Mesh Pro LTX. The ending acronym “LTX” designates a Latex formulated material that was custom–built to print ideally with Latex technology. Strip Mesh Pro LTX is a 9 oz. mesh with backer that can be easily removed after printing.  The specially designed backer creates an air-tight print surface that prevents ink spray through and allows vacuum equipped printers to hold material flat during printing.  Strip Mesh Pro LTX has 25 percent air-flow through and is ideal for outdoor banners, building wraps, fence mesh graphics, and boulevard banners in high wind areas.  Formulated for use with Latex, solvent, eco solvent, and UV printers, this mesh is available in widths from 54 to 126 inches.

Ultraflex has introduced a new scrimless PET banner media with a grey back. SuperSmooth PET GreyBack is a 13oz. non-curling front-lit banner with a grey back and smooth print surface, making it ideal for high-resolution printing. The backer prevents light transparency and shadowing, making SuperSmooth PET GreyBack ideal for indoor applications such as banners, roll up, scrolling of X banner stand displays, tradeshow graphics and POP/POS signs. No lamination is required and it is available in matte finish in widths ranging from 38 to 126 inches.

Now offering a complete line of wide format banner products, FDC Graphic Films, Inc. has added two new mesh PVC banners and a high strength banner to its selection. Series 7501, 7521 and 7522 are designed for printing outdoor general purpose signage and displays. These new products are tear, curl and fire resistant (NFPA 701, B1, M2).

FDC Graphic Films, Inc. is adding two non-curling roll-up banners and a large scale exterior banner to the digital product line. These additions provide even greater product selection and more diverse banner application possibilities.

Herculite Products, Inc. (Booth 3016) is demonstrating a new high performance curl free banner fabric. Bantex 10 Oz. Two-Sided Curl Free is a two sided banner media with no edge curl, developed for high end printing and demanding aesthetic applications. It is stocked in 36 inch and 72 inch boxes and rolls.

DaVinci Technologies has announced the availability of the EcoMedia environmentally responsible, high-performance, copolymer alternative to PVC banner material. This dimensionally stable line of non-pvc films is available in both backlit and block out products. The EcoMedia banners are recyclable, biodegradable, phthalate-free and completely smooth. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor applications and specifically designed for large-format UV Curable inks. Backlit is available in 62”x150’ rolls and the block out is available in 54-inch by 150-foot rolls.

Brand Management Group (BMG) has introduced four new wide-format inkjet products for aqueous printers: KODAK Rapid-Dry Glossy Poly Poster, KODAK Rapid-Dry Self-Adhesive Glossy Poly Poster, KODAK Water-Resistant Scrim Banner and KODAK PHOTO TEX Repositionable Fabric / Aqueous.

Value Vinyls has introduced a new 6 oz. mesh developed to be used at major events and concerts. Rio 6 oz. Event Mesh is compatible with UV and solvent inks and meets NFPA-701 test standards where additional fire code jurisdiction is required.

Ultraflex (Booth 2314) will introduce several new products at ISA 2012 in their golf-themed booth. Pole Banner Pro 18 oz. is a fire-rated, heavy-duty blockout banner material for indoor and outdoor two sided applications such as pole banners and event signage. MultiTex C220 is a 6.5oz multi-purpose canvas made from 100 percent polyester spun yarn. It is a great economical choice for fine art reproduction, indoor displays, wall murals and other art décor applications. It stretched and framed and comes in widths ranging from 39 to 122 inches. Billboard 520' Eclipse is a 7 oz. black-backed substrate for billboard applications. Its 520-foot length increases a print facility’s production and efficiency by reducing the amount of time changing out material. Billboard 520' Eclipse is solvent and uv printable and comes is 193-inch widths. FloorFlex is a printable floor vinyl that is suitable for Latex and UV printers. It is engineered with a non slip latex backing and is ideal for indoor use but may be used outdoors for short-durations. Recommended applications include corporate lobbies, waiting areas, foyers, tradeshow booth floor graphics, catwalks, and various types of promotional events.
