Raptor+

Raptor+ Product Image

The Raptor was introduced to the market in 2002 as a simple but yet high quality plate processing platform. This compact medium segment processor took the market by storm, and since then thousands of the popular Raptors have been installed worldwide.

Now Glunz & Jensen has taken the step to create much more value for customers facing a more and more efficient-demanding print industry. The new Raptor+ program is modernized to completely match the demanding user needs of control and simplicity.

Raptor+ is ready to battle time consuming plate processing

“The powerful Raptor+ platform will continue to be the most popular and versatile processor for printers all over the world in both the commercial and the newspaper segment because of the simplicity, reliability and the ease of use. The open configuration also makes it possible to re-configure the processor with applications from most plate suppliers. This flexibility is now supported by a modern user interface with the innovative Glunz & Jensen GNUC ll Electronics technology.”

“We are proud to say that we have lifted the Raptor platform and made it ready to battle the future´s time consuming plate processing.” says Simon Jensen, Business Director at Glunz & Jensen.

Customers get so much more at no extra cost…

The Raptor+ is offered as a more complete solution, with even more standard features than the old Raptor. The standard configuration now also includes a typical application configuration, cooling unit, hand shower for easy cleaning, drain manifold and universal front panel. Raptor+ can be used for either offline with feed/delivery table or for online configuration with CtP interface and stacker.

What is GNUC ll Electronics?

In 2005 Glunz & Jensen implemented the state-of-the-art user interface GNUC II Electronics on all Glunz & Jensen high-end processors. The fully graphical touch screen panel was immediately embraced by customers because of the intuitive symbols, colors and point to select navigation interface.

Features like online user manuals, user defined translation of menus, remote diagnostics via Ethernet, backup/restore of product parameters and software became the normal standard for high-end customers with GNUC II processors.

These benefits are now also in the medium segment Raptor+ platform!

Available before Drupa!

The Raptor+ will be on display at Drupa 2012 - Hall 5, Stand C38, but it is available already now. Raptor+ is available in 2 variants: Thermal & Photopolymer, and two widths: 680 mm (26.8”) and 850 mm (33.5”).
