It has been enhanced with over 50 new improvements that offer the next wave in wide format printing, copying and color scanning. It is based on decades of experience, and offers proven features from a number of award-winning technical document printing systems from Océ.
Users can now print from mobile device
Many decisions in the technical world are made on site, and documents need to be updated and produced on the fly. With the new Océ Mobile WebTools, users who have access to a WiFi router in their network can retrieve technical files from their cloud using an iPhone, Blackberry, Android device, iPad or other mobile device and send a print request to their printer. That means the printer is ready for new mobile workflows. Users can print from and scan documents to USB flash drive or to their mobile devices using Océ Mobile WebTools to capture changes and documents on the go. Or print via Océ Publisher Select to produce documents for complex projects.
Prints up to 6 A1 or D-size plots a minute without long delays
With conventional roller-based systems, users have to make a trade-off between energy consumption and getting a fast first print. They require long warm up and cool-down periods which waste time and energy. The Océ PlotWave 350 printer incorporates an enhanced version of the unique energy efficient Océ Radiant Fusing technology. It can print up to 6 A1 or D-size plots in one minute, with virtually no warm-up time. Compared to conventional printers which can take up to four minutes to warm up, this can easily save a typical small office an hour a day in printing delays. Even though the system is faster compared to its predecessor, its energy consumption per print stays the same, which is half that of comparable systems.
To reduce costly mistakes, a brand new Océ Windows Print Driver 2.0 has been added to this system. Its straightforward design makes it much easier to print complex drawings correctly the first time. It includes a "What You See is What You Print" preview that clearly highlights potential errors that might occur with a selection. This includes misplaced fold lines or an error in the size of the document. Users can easily correct their selection and avoid costly mistakes and wasted time.

With over 50 new components, the Océ PlotWave 350 printing system provides outstanding performance to meet the challenging needs of busy offices in the architectural, construction and engineering fields. New features include grey tone optimization to boost the quality of color prints.
The Océ PlotWave 350 is constructed of solid, hard wearing materials that are designed to make it last longer than comparable systems. Critical components, such as the imaging drum and other moving parts are completely enclosed to reduce contamination and wear and tear. High use parts, like the paper drawers and panels, are made of reinforced materials to protect them from contact with dust and extend their lifetime. The separate paper paths reduce paper jams and extra wear on the system.
