Schober introduces high-capacity, high-speed, heavy-duty rotary die-cutting modules which attain higher precision and flexibility due to an electronically synchronous run and digital servo-drives. Innovative features of this new technology include a preset and calibrated pressure adjustment, high-precision bearing assemblies and housings for low temperature running, vibration-free design, micrometric die wear compensation adjustment (GCS) on the fly and central quick magnetic/anvil disengagement (without loss of registration) which simplifies web threading and shortens set-up.
Labelmakers Group Pty Ltd., of Melbourne, Australia installed the first machine, which features a working width of 26" (660 mm), for integration into an existing Flexo printing press for clear label production.
These features ensure that most materials available in roll format can be die cut with optimum efficiency and productivity, even with liners (for self-adhesive materials) as thin as 30-micron. This proven technology is available in working widths to 40" (1,000 mm) and is designed for production speeds of up to 1,000 ft/min (300 m/min).
Modules are available for line shaft and hybrid machines with individual drive technology. Similarly designed modules are available for paper, film and laminated materials.
