Pitney Bowes (Booth 1238) is showcasing a new SortEngine Multiple Entry Drop Ship software module for direct mailers who want to obtain deeper postage discounts and better control over in-home delivery dates. Available for the Pitney Bowes Vantage, Olympus, Reliant and VariSort sorters, mailers who utilize a Multiple Entry Drop Ship strategy sort mail to region-based mail pallets, then deliver these pallets via private shipping companies to USPS locations throughout the United States. This can help mailers significantly reduce their overall postage costs, even when you consider the additional cost of private shipping. This also helps mailers control in-home delivery dates since the USPS service-level agreements (SLAs) from each regional facility is approximately three days, while the SLAs for Standard Mail entered at a single location can be up to two weeks, depending upon the ultimate destination.
SortEngine Multiple Entry Drop Ship is part of the new Pitney Bowes SortEngine sorter operations software designed to help mailers better integrate sorting into their overall production print and mail operation. Standard features, such as flexible sort density control based on potential postage discounts versus the time to process, enables mailers to make workflow decisions on-the-fly.
