Chem-free Violet DigiPlate Product From Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc: Mitsubishi’s Violet DigiPlate, a chem-free polyester- and paper-based offset printing plate, employs a polymer cross-linking technology that creates the image area without any chemicals, requiring only water for rinsing. The Violet DigiPlate resembles a typical metal plate with a gray background and a clearly visible blue image area, allowing for easy plate inspection prior to mounting and while on the press. Violet DigiPlate CTP is a chem-free solution that offers the offset quality and affordability of Mitsubishi Imaging’s premium Silver DigiPlate.

The VDP chem-free plates will be imaged on the new Violet DigiPlater VDP-CF3070. Designed for the 4-page XL format printer, this extremely compact and environmentally-friendly CTP system is 100% chem-free. The fully automated VDP-CF3070 platesetter outputs 20 plates per hour at 2540 dpi.
