Mitsubishi Imaging’s (Booth 841) Thermal DigiPlate CTP system is the clean, green choice for the 2-up printer looking to be profitable, efficient and environmentally-friendly. This compact unit uses a thermal inline head technology to image plates and has no processor, saving both space and energy consumption.
The Thermal DigiPlate System uses Mitsubishi’s patented thermal fusing technology to create a high-contrast image on the plate without chemical development, wash-off or ablation. By eliminating the need for chemicals, toner, ink ribbon, processer maintenance and chemical disposal, Thermal DigiPlate CTP helps printers reduce their impact on the environment.
The Thermal DigiPlate System is comprised of TDP-R175 plate material and the Thermal DigiPlater TDP-459/324 platesetter. Easy to use and maintain, and capable of running 1200 dpi plates at 75 plates per hour, the TDP-459/324 is a perfect fit for black-and-white and spot color work, and is a desirable replacement for analog, e-stat and laser plates.
The TDP-R175 paper-based plates have high image contrast, strong edge-to-image registration and come in rolls ranging from 10" width up to 18.1" width. TDP Plates will be printing live in Booth 841 at GRAPH EXPO on a BaumPrint 18 small-format automated offset press.
