The new generation SpectroDens features a more compact design, improved ergonomics, wireless capability, and is equipped with a high resolution color display. The new display is designed to be more intuitive and to improve productivity by enabling a visual representation of CIE L*a*b* values.

The new SpectroDens expands the capabilities of the traditional SpectroDens enabling operators to do short scan measurements of color control bars. The tracking wheels on the bottom of the instrument allow the user to quickly scan color patches while maintaining perfect scan alignment.

Communicating wirelessly via WiFi the new SpectroDens Premium seamlessly and effortlessly sends measured data results to the computer running the Techkon SpectroConnect software.

SpectroDens was first introduced in 2007, as a robust design and fast, accurate color measurement device for color quality control in all print environments. Empowered by the ever-expanding range of SpectroDens functionality, quality managers are able to quickly check color accuracy using Pass/Fail, and with Techkon’s unique Ink Check feature, that specifies specific ink density adjustments to bring color into customer specified tolerances. Additionally its G7 Gray Guide support provides instant verification of near neutral standard conformance and ink key specific CMY ink density changes. No matter whether printing on paper or juice bottle plastic labels, quality managers need to ensure that the printed colors are not only accurate, but consistent throughout the print run.
