manroland web systems (Booth 2210) is introducing its digital post-press technology to the North American market at GRAPH EXPO 2012. Originally created as a solution for Océ digital roll fed print production presses, these variable cut-off folders and book collators deliver flexible post-press solutions for newspapers and publications.
The manroland web systems variable cut-off VPF & VFF Folders and VBC Collators are available inline on Océ digital roll fed presses and offline to the market at large. This exclusive technology provides some of the most flexible post-press solutions available today.
VPF digital folders are equipped to create a traditional newspaper look, with individual sections, or can also be used for non-traditional formats. Settings can be adjusted and changed on-the-fly. The VPF folder can be used with existing digital press equipment of any brand, and integrate with mailroom systems.
For book printers, VFF digital folder, when used with the VBC Collator, offers an efficient and innovative method of producing signatures to build products through the creation of completed bookblocks. These glued bookblocks can be finished inline or offline. This solution allows high levels of flexibility, including zero-time set-up for new sections, and a wide range of paper weights and formats.
