Mimaki has unveiled the new JV400SUV Series of printers which set new industry standards by combining the flexibility of solvent printing with the durability of UV cured inks, resulting in smooth, glossy prints, which simulate the appearance of being coated yet retaining the color brightness expected from a solvent printer. These characteristics, coupled with a high resistance to scratching and weathering are designed to satisfy even the most demanding customers.
When using Mimaki solvent UV inks, fixation and curing is immediate. Therefore, drying times is eliminated. Immediately after printing, secondary processing, such as lamination, can be performed, dramatically increasing productivity and efficiency. This advanced ink technolgy provides a surprisingly strong scratch resistance with a never-before-seen glossiness for a bold and vivid appearance which definitely catches your attention. Also in cases such as banner materials, where lamination is difficult or omitted, considerable durability can be expected.
The JV400SUV Series comes in 53” and 63” printing widths and utilizes two newly developed piezo print heads with four rows of 320 nozzles per head for top quality, high speed, variable dot printing. Applications include indoor and outdoor signage, tradeshow graphics, banners, POP/POS and any application where high definition and durability are a definite requirement.
