Badgetec has introduced new round featherweight personal tags that safely clip to garments and eliminate traditional issues when photographing guest. These include light reflection from the plastic holder or tilted badges. As the primary function of a nametag is to visually communicate information during events and face-to-face conversations, wearing an attractive nametag near eye-level is important. Being made of matte cardstock or white polyester, they attach directly to ones garment with the new clothing-safe Contour Clip. The new round nametags do not require a plastic holder. The Contour Clip slides onto the edge of a garment like a “paperclip” and provides a comfortable lightweight cardtag (only 3 grams). Besides being used as nametags, round cardtags can be printed as promotion/advertising tags, political button tags, motivational tags and a host of other applications.
With plastic holders, photographers have difficulty with reflected light from the plastic. In addition, plastic holders do not always lay flat and are frequently tilted, making photographs unsightly and less professional for newsletters and association magazines. These difficulties are amplified during videographing when body movements direct reflected light into lenses as plastic badges move.
Most people who wear nametags want their information presented clearly to others, and if suitable, they will attach the nametag to the upper part of their garment. Recognizing that the nametag is very lightweight and the Contour Clip is safe (no pins-no holes), they will tend to attach it to their pocket, collar or lapel. Businesswomen state that they appreciate the new round featherweight design.
Traditional name badges with pins, adhesives and bulldog clips were developed decades ago when the standard fabrics for women’s garments were cotton and wool. But with the developed of synthetic and more delicate women’s fabrics, a better clothing attachment has been needed. Men still use traditional fabrics (with pockets) and tend not to have a badge-attachment problem.
Badgetec developed the Contour Clip to provide fast, easy and clothing-safe attachment of personal tags, particularly nametags. With the ‘paperclip’ attachment concept, the Contour Clip slides on easily by tactile-feel. The personal tags are made of durable cardstock or white polyester (waterproof) which require no plastic holder. Standard 8.5x11” diecut sheets have slots punched at the top of each tag for attaching the clip. In addition, these standard size sheets can be printed using Microsoft Word (AVERY) templates on most office laser/inkjet printers. One then simply separates the round or rectangular tags from the sheet and issues them to their guests.
