Badgetec has introduced new personal tags that serve as wearable promotions and displays. Being laser and inkjet printable on the front & back, the face of the tag carries the display message while the back serves as a marketing vehicle. They have proven successful since being introduced in 2011. When distributed to people at events, wearable tags are a powerful marketing medium that produces strong personal links to the event. As individuals receive their tag, they instinctively read the display message (front) and the back printing before wearing the tag. The back serves as an excellent marketing medium to enhance brand recognition as well as providing QR Codes & vital contact data. The new personal tags are inexpensive die-cut cardstock and attach by a new clothing-safe plastic clip (less than a dime). Essentially, the event sponsor (advertisers) has inserted the brand, Smartphone QR Codes, phone numbers and web URLs directly into the hands of prospected customers!
The new personal tags are die-cut in many shapes & sizes and use no plastic holders, pins or adhesives. Double-sided personal tags are high-volume printed or provided as blank die-cut 8.5x11” sheets with slots punched at the top of each tag for attaching the clip. The sheets can be printed using Microsoft Word (AVERY) templates on most office laser/inkjet printers. One then simply separates the round or rectangular tags from the sheets and issues them.
Many people will not wear pin or adhesive tags (especially women). This is why the Contour Clip is so popular and successfully increases the number of visible tag messages displayed. The Contour Clip slides over the edge of a garment like a “paperclip” and provides a comfortable lightweight cardtag (only 3 grams). Thus, individuals wearing personal tags insure exposure of the message along with their de facto approval. Unlike adhesive stickers, clip-on tags are generally kept and scrutinized by others.
Traditional stickers and pin buttons were developed decades ago when the standard fabrics for women’s garments were cotton and wool. But with the developed of synthetic and delicate women’s fabrics in the last 75 years, a better clothing attachment has been needed. These new clip-on personal tags are now providing an improved wearable marketing medium.
