WoodWing Software, a long-standing technology partner of Adobe, today announced that its productivity plug-in Smart Styles CC will be released soon after the launch of Adobe's brand new Creative Cloud in June. Smart Styles is an intelligent formatting tool that automates repetitive formatting of text, frames and other objects in InDesign and InCopy. Users of Smart Styles can simply drag a formatted object into the Smart Styles library, which allows them to easily apply the same formatting to other elements.
Smart Styles CC offers a range of new features including the support of Liquid Layout rules and actions applied to buttons, both of which significantly speed up the creation process in digital publishing. Smart Styles also assists publishers in using the new QR code features offered by InDesign CC. Furthermore, Smart Styles CC offers more options when resizing text frames with columns, and has additional export options for Alt text, Tagged PDF, EPUB and HTML, which can be stored in a Smart Styles object.
WoodWing's solutions also available as subscription
"Adobe´s decision to offer the Creative Suite applications as an integral part of the Creative Cloud in a subscription model is a major change in how their products are sold and upgraded," said Erik Schut, President of WoodWing Software. "For a number of years we also offer the option to use all our software in an attractive subscription model so customers can enjoy the benefits of our productivity-enhancing software, while keeping their investments low."
WoodWing Enterprise for Adobe Creative Cloud coming later this year
Later this year, WoodWing will release a version of its multi-channel publishing system Enterprise, including the editorial management application Content Station, supporting Adobe Creative Cloud products.
