Morgana Systems (Booth 3561), will give a US debut to the System 2000S bookletmaker at PRINT 2013.
The System 2000S is capable of producing booklets up to 120 pages. The system will be fed via ACF510, a hybrid feeder capable of handling pre-collated digitally printed sets, collating litho printed sections, or a combination of both into a finished book. The heavy-duty bookletmaking section comes with wire-stitching heads, fore-edge trimmer, and the Morgana Squarefold 2000 for a professional perfect bound effect to the finished product.
The System 2000S will be shown with optional CST unit. CST can edge-trim the sheets before bookletmaking, meaning work can be taken straight from press to finishing with no need to visit the guillotine. CST includes a creasing mechanism to help eliminate cracking on digital print or cross grained cover stock.
Commenting on System 2000S, Alan Oppenheim, Morgana’s North American Manager, said: “The System 2000S bookletmaker provides an extended range of performance from Morgana’s existing DocuMaster products. With output capabilities right through to 3,000 booklets per hour, and the ability to create publications of up to 120 pages, this range will satisfy the needs of a huge number of American print shops.”
