Impika iPrint Compact from Xerox (bboth 1202) is a single-engine duplexing production inkjet system that is highly modular and flexible for a variety of configuration choices with a small footprint. The iPrint Compact can use pigment or dye inks, plus a new generation HD ink that enables printing on plain papers with high fidelity and minimal absorption. Paper flexibility ranges from untreated plain offset stocks to inkjet treated, matte, silk and glossy coated stocks for a wide variety of print jobs.
The iPrint Compact – and the entire iPrint line – uses drop-on-demand piezoelectric print head technology, enabling single-pass duplexing for 2-up printing with a 20" wide continuous web. With continuous variable speeds of up to 416 FPM, the system can be configured with two print heads for black and white only and is field upgradeable up to four heads for CMYK duplex printing in a single pass in one frame. Resolution comes standard with 1200 x 600 dpi and 600 x 600 dpi – with 360 x 600 dpi optional. Drop volumes add additional flexibility and image quality choices with a range from three to 13 picoliter in size, while highly efficient small infrared dryers require minimal energy consumption.
