Dalim's (Booth 4245) ES 4 combines prepress workflow tasks with project planning, including milestones and sophisticated approvals. Sharing joint projects is easy, through any standard web browser. Users are automatically involved at appropriate stages for reviews and approvals. Operators can add prepress tasks anywhere between artwork and final imposed form.
The ES FTP server uploads files, with production parameters passed at file delivery through the web interface. ES softproof annotation and approval is also available in an Apple App.
Digital Virtual Library (DVL) is the ES page-turning application offering real-time access to realistic online publications. Print-ready PDFs can be enriched with URLs, picture slide shows, videos, and action buttons, and exported as interactive HTML5 embedded in a website, iPad apps and EPUB3 files for mobile e-readers through Apple's iBookstore or Amazon Kindle Store.
In addition to storing files in a database, ES 4 can work with a regular file system, a DAM or file server. It can catalogue and share print files, images and other assets, such as video. Video, flash banners and HTML files can be annotated and part of approval cycles. ES 4 includes a JDF template based imposition module for offset printing and CFF2 module for packaging.
