Morgana Systems has announced that it will launch a revolutionary new feeder for its System 2000 and 2000S booklet making systems at Print 13. The new AFF602 feeder will be shown with the 2000S and CST2000 crease-and-side-trim unit producing full bleed booklets directly from a wide range of digital print engines. The systems are completed with the Morgana Squarefold unit to give perfectly finished squared spine booklets.
The AFF 602 is a two-bin feeder designed to take pre-collated sets directly from the printed engine without the need to trim the job in a guillotine prior to booklet making. The large capacity bins give a loading capacity of up to 23.6” (600mm) giving long uninterrupted runs. Additionally covers that have been printed on another device, or have been coated or laminated can be placed into one of the bins and merged with the pre-collated sets as part of the run. A unique air assisted feeding unit gives reliable, consistent feeding of today’s digitally printed media.
The system will be shown running various sized jobs and stock types up to 12 x 18” sheets, although the feeder can take longer sheets for future projects.
Commenting on the new feeder release Ray Hillhouse, Director of Sales & Marketing at Morgana Systems, said: “This feeder will get a lot of interest at the show. It has a unique design that will appeal to digital printers and CRD’s who are used to loading paper in this way. The combination of the AFF602 with our CST and 2000S booklet maker gives a very feature rich full-bleed booklet making system at a very competitive price.”
