IQDEMY premieres the new Swiss Maglev UV LED printer featuring Ricoh Gen5 printheads at its booth no. 1836 at Fespa China.
Befittingly in Shanghai, where the Maglev train runs between the airport and the city, IQDEMY showcases its new development, the Swiss Maglev. The patented magnetic levitation technology used therein enables the carriage system to run without friction thus enabling the highest possible accuracy of dot placements never seen before in inkjet printers. Photorealistic sharp and colorful images and text that exceed the expectations of customers can thus be achieved.

Running at speeds of up to 150 sqm/h in draft mode sensitive substrates such as films, foils, but also Styrofoam, wax, candles, polyester, aluminum, stones, marbles, wood, MDF, glass and others can be printed. Driven by the Caldera RIP and DPS front end the Swiss Maglev accommodates 7 color printing (CMYKLcLm+W), optionally varnish as 8th color, for accurate color reproduction and haptic images that seek comparison in the industry.
As all Swiss series printers the Swiss Maglev features an automatic ink recirculation system, among others serving to extend the lifetime of print heads; an automatic material positioning system and vacuum table to prevent material shifts during printing; roll-to-roll feed system for printing on flexible materials on rolls; automatic safety system that prevents print heads from coming into contact with curved parts of substrates; automated cleaning and thermal stabilization of ink system; among others.
