At FESPA DIGITAL 2014, ColorGATE announced the release of version 8.10. The version 8.10 arriving in June will include besides various improvements and enhancements the following highlights:
- Adobe PDF Print Engine 3.1
- New functions for Container+
- New modules: Media and Light Profiler Module (MLPFM) and the Trim Nesting Module (TNM)
- Enhancement of the Value Pack program
- HP-certification: HP Latex 300 series, HP-DesignJet-Z5400
- Support of new printing systems
Since the start of version 8 ColorGATE utilizes the Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) for all RIP software family products. The new version 8.10 will be equipped with the latest version 3.1 of the APPE. The yet outstanding RIP performance and the excellent compatibility features have been further enhanced. All ColorGATE RIP software solutions will continue to utilize the latest version of the APPE in the future.
During the course of the development of version 8.10, the Container+ has been provided with new features. The creation and the editing of a new or already existing Container have been further simplified. Also, the container dialog has been shaped into a clearer version in order to give a better overview and better option for editing and gathering of all information concerning the listed jobs, warnings concerning MIMs and print modes as well as container-names. Furthermore, the drag and drop function has been further revised and all jobs in an existing container can be assigned with a MIM globally.
Media and Light Profiler Module (MLPFM)
The MLPFM allows a straightforward adaption of existing ICC profiles to changes in the media coloration or the illuminant. The adaption can be achieved without a time-consuming new profiling. Thus, it is possible to consider various media colorations or specific illuminants without any loss of time, which is especially important in industrial printing environments. Furthermore, the MLPFM enables the adjustment of a profile in terms of the used illuminant. Illuminants beyond D50 (daylight standard), such as D55, D65, Illuminant A and Tungsten are also eligible.
Trim Nesting Module (TNM)
The TNM manages the automatic placement of various print jobs on the printable area and adds synchronization marks for automatic roll cutters (e.g: Flexa, Fotoba etc.) to trim and finish the prints.
The product configurator allows the configuration of an individual RIP software product. Information about all available modules can be found here.
The Value Pack offers long-term security for the investment in a RIP software product. The annual fee includes all updates and upgrades, which guarantees that your system is always up to date, e.g. with respect to maximum compatibility to input data formats. In addition, Value Pack customers receive preferred treatment in the event of support issues and will receive additional benefits when enhancing their respective ColorGATE system environment. The competent, efficient support services also include remote support.
ColorGATE enhances its successful Value Pack program. Additional base product licenses (Productionserver , Filmgate, Plategate, Proofgate or SmartControl) can be purchased via a new attractive rental plan. Furthermore, Value Pack is now available for Filmgate, Plategate, Proofgate and the Industrial Printing Operating System SmartControl
