JCDecaux and News Corp transformed out-of-home into a topical conversation starter with an ambitious campaign that displayed front page news each day! This was no easy feat. Our Maintenance Team posted 21,600 posters for News Corp over eight weeks across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and artwork was created and approved often minutes before midnight with print quality checked each day at 3:00am to ensure on time delivery and posting.
The impactful campaign caused a stir on social media with people wondering how we were able to reflect each day's front page so seamlessly. News Corp's metro newspaper titles also saw their circulation rise during the period of the campaign.
JCDecaux and News Corp worked together to strategically select a network of panels adjacent to newsstands and newspaper outlets in major transit hubs and along popular commuter routes. The same panels were used throughout, to allow people to check the morning's news on their usual way in to work.
The combination of the daily postings, the high-dwell time locations and the sheer talk-ability of this campaign sparked interest and sent audiences rushing to pick up a newspaper to get the full story.
