The Evolution of the Book Industry: Research commissioned by Ricoh, Q2, 2013 Implications for U.S. Book Manufacturers and Printers

For a simple product consisting of ink on paper, books have played a critical role in enabling the world to advance from the dark ages to the hyper-connected telecommunication world as we know it today. Ricoh, a manufacturer of digital printing presses, commissioned I.T. Strategies in conjunction with the University of Colorado in the spring of 2013 to gain insights into the ongoing viability of printed books and their value and fi t in a fast-moving communications society.
